The Serpent biting its own tail is first seen as early as 1600 years BC in Egypt. where it was seen by the Phoenicians and later by the Greeks, who called it the “Ouroboros”, he who devours its tail. Similar myths are found in Other cultures such as the Celtic, Hindu and Mexican. The ouroboros has several meanings related to cyclic and endless processes. It symbolises the cyclic Nature of the Universe: creation out of destruction, Life out of Death. The Ouroboros represents the eternal cycle of renewal.
