For the person with the non-saving games

Depending on the age of your games, it’s possible that the batteries in the game cartridge are dead.  It’s really easy to fix by replacing the battery, but you need a special screw driver to open them up.  They’re soldered in bit, but once you flip them out, simple electrical tape is enough to keep contact.
