Genius Party Beyond – “Toujin Kit” by Studio 4°C (by Oskar E)

Genius Party is an anthology of short animated films from Studio 4°C (Animatrix, Tekkon Kinkreet) released on July 7, 2007. The short films are Japanese anime.
A sequel called Genius Party Beyond was released on February 15, 2008, and includes most of the films which were finished but not included in the original Genius Party.

Thinking about it, I feel kind of like some of this is a massive GPOY.  Despite the scifi elements, it feels like a meditation on creation, animation in particular possibly, and what happens when it all gets away from you.

Or maybe I’m just a girl living alone in a house with creepy dolls, who knows. ;D
