This is a heartbreaking work of genius.

I didn’t know the Cowboy Bebop director made this until I desperately fumbled for a name behind this rare masterpiece. It all made sense. This 14 minute short possessed the distinctive magic behind Cowboy Bebop’s best episodes which leaves you traumatized from an experience too beautiful (and therefore, too painful).

I am forcing you to watch this because I am so fucking hurt and I need company.

3 years unwatched in my hard drive and I only tried this at random last night. I also just discovered that Yoko Kanno was behind the music, which makes this doubly precious. This is the archetypal first date, a French New Wave kind of day ala-Godard’s Breathless that everyone wishes they could’ve had.
