I enjoy being a fan of (and drawing fanart of) many things, but I’m the sort of fan who gets a lot out of the thing the creator is giving me, and very little out of taking what is provided as raw material for how I wish it was. At the same time: my main reason for liking something is usually a bastard mixture of great art, charm and excitement, usually falling somewhere in the shonen category. That said, I am also a Lady and I like romance and kisses and they tend to be few and far between within these standards.

Hey Ranma ½. I am thankful for you, because you have great art, appallingly charming characters, a fun story, and let me fangirl frantically about canon smooches

Ranma ½ really could have used more smooches.

Most of what kept Ranma and Akane from having a close relationship was Ranma’s immaturity (I’m a boy so I need to be cool), so I like to imagine how their relationship might have turned out in the future assuming Ranma becomes more mature.

But I digress, Ranma just has a nice way of making you like the characters a lot.
