//Absurdly helpful for people writing royal characters and/or characters who interact with royalty and members of the nobility.

I think titles and other honorifics are pretty cool and also very important! It shows a degree of how much respect you hold for a person and their job, honors, and accomplishments!
Just wanted to add some other applicable titles and tips, after a little bit of study.
For judiciaries such as judges (pardoners, in our case), they are ‘Your Worship/Excellency/Honour-able’ in introduction, and can be referred to as a Lord or Lady.
- His Excellency, Lord Oswald.
- The Honourable Lord Keith.
For higher religious officials, they are ‘Your Grace/Holiness/Eminence’ in introduction, and also referred to as such or by title.
- His Grace, Archbishop Havel.
- His Eminence, Archdeacon Royce.
The highest of religious types are often praised with unique honorifics and titles. Can also arguably be applicable to deities.
- The Most Blessed, Saint Serreta
- The Most Reverend, Saint Irina
If a character is the son or daughter of nobility, they can take the highest form of address that is below their parent’s.
- Duke Seath and Marchioness Priscilla, addressed as Lady Priscilla.
PROTIPS
Always address male Knights with ‘Sir’ as they are incorrectly addressed and introduced in the narratives of Dark Souls. Instead of ‘Knight Lautrec of Carim’ he should be introduced as ‘Sir Lautrec, Knight of Carim.’
Additionally, the title of Dame is the female’s equivalent to the honour of Knighthood, or rather, Damehood. They can also be addressed as Dame as pictured above, but I’ve read that term ‘Lady’ was actually a pretty universal term in ye olde times and can be used as a respectable term for almost any woman of higher status. However it might be, the preference of proper address may be up to the woman herself.
- Sir Artorias, Knight of the Four
- Sir Aven, Knight of Astora
- Sir Tarkus, Knight of Berenike
- Lady Anri, Dame of Astora
- Lady Lucatiel, Dame of Mirrah
- Dame Ciaran, Dame of the Four
For characters of non-nobility, it’s still acceptable to refer to them by their titles. This is especially important for characters apart of a more modern military sort of structure, or simply someone given a signifiable or otherwise notable rank.
- Captain Drummond
- Paladin Leeroy
- Master Logan
- Master Gough
Trickier forms of address and introduction in our dark souls verse are probably owed to our resident deity blogs. Thankfully, they usually come with an established title. After that, the form of address and introduction may be more unique, and also may be up to the character in question.
Or you can call them all Becky
