can i still be genderfluid if my gender changes ever couple weeks/every couple months instead of more frequently? i feel like i keep trying to figure myself out and every time i almost do something shifts and throws me a curveball and things are just literally different than they were before, like, i know the way i felt before was real but the way i feel now is real too,,, i’ve been questioning for four years and i’m just so tired. i just want something stable but nothing is ~ thanks for ur time

Yeah absolutely! There’s no set time limit for how often or how rarely your gender shoulder change for you to qualify as genderfluid. If your gender changes, no matter how often/rarely, you are well withing your right to ID as genderfluid!

I remember, pretty long ago now, seeing some discussion about coining a new label or labels for a subset of genderfluidity regarding this kind of very slow-shifting genderfluidity – I think gendermolasses and genderlava were two of the suggested new names? I’m not sure though so don’t quote me on that.

I wish there was a term for this, but if there is I don’t know what it is.
I propose GenderWe’llGetThereWhenWeGetThere.
Although in more seriousness, just saying Genderfluid at anchor sounds really nice. Just reading it suggests that your genderfluidity doesn’t fluctuate much, it also has a bunch of nice sea and ship sailing metaphors to be had.
